Earth From Above

Picture Earth's first public education program, Earth From Above, features the work of Yann Arthus-Bertrand. This large-scale public art and education exhibition, featuring aerial photography and a new perspective on the need for sustainable living, will tour nationwide to provide Americans with a new, hopeful perspective on the urgent need for sustainable living. After reaching more than 130 million visitors in over 120 cities across every populated continent, the exhibition will debut in NYC with the goal to reach 20 metropolitan areas in the U.S. within 5 years.

Inspired by Arthus-Bertrand's decade-long mission to document a visual record of our planet for future generations, Picture Earth will highlight solutions for a sustainable way of life to address the challenges he brings into focus. Earth From Above is an ideal vehicle for inspiring a belief that achieving small strides is better than doing nothing—that if industry leaders can commit to sustainable development, individuals can make a personal commitment to changing for the better. And with greater awareness building across society, Picture Earth will work to reach mainstream America to provide options for greener living, using art to trigger a “seeing is believing” sensibility shift and galvanize action toward a greener future.
